About Debra Dean...
Debra Dean was born and raised in Seattle. She double-majored in English and Drama at Whitman College and, upon graduation, worked as an actress in New York and regional theater for nearly a decade. She received her MFA from the University of Oregon and has taught creative writing and literature since 1990. She is married, and now lives in Miami where she teaches in the MFA program at Florida International University. The Madonnas of Leningrad was her first novel. Rusoffagency.com |

Dean began her writing career as the successful author of short stories.
